Each bedroom was complete with its own outdoor shower:
... a fun experience, minus the mosquitoes that liked me a bit too much. While I got a good 5 - 10 bites a day, Chad managed to get through the vacation untouched. Beck also remained biteless until the last night when a swarm of mosquitoes discovered his sweetness and left his body covered with about 30 bites. :/
Each bedroom also had it's own patio. Here's the view from one...
Beck had fun experiencing the beach for the first time. :)
And spending time in the pool and with cousin Adela... although he really preferred the shade and playing with the rocks and plants to being in the sunshine and the water.
On the way home, Chad asked what my top 3 highlights and 3 lowlights were about the trip. Here's a summary of our picks (in no specific order):
Highlights:
1) snorkeling and scuba diving (Chad only... I didn't get certified :/ ) for the first time
2) beautiful beaches
3) beautiful villa we stayed at
Lowlights:
1) mosquitoes, mosquitoes, mosquitoes (or at least for me!)
2) the Crazy rocky, bumpy, windy, steep dirt road we had to drive on to get to our villa
3) activities being limited due to the babies coming along (yes, it's a joy to have them along, but it makes for a different trip!)
If you get a chance to go, do it! It's a gorgeous place!
